Prof Ferrante Neri 
Prof. Ferrante Neri obtained his MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Bari, Itay, in 2002 and and 2007, respectively. In 2007, Prof. Neri was also awarded with the PhD degree in Computing at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, where since 2010, he is Adjunct Professor in Computational Intelligence. He is also Academy Research Fellow at the Academy of Finland. Since 2012 Prof. Neri is also affiliated to the Centre for Computational Intelligence at the
De Montfort University, UK,where he has been at first awarded with the title of Reader in Computational Intelligence and, subsequently, Professor of Computational intelligence Optimization. During his career he actively worked in the field of Computational Intelligence Optimization, especially Memetic Computing, Evolutionary and Swarm Intelligence Optimisation. He is currently vice-chair of the IEEE Task Force on Differential Evolution and chair of the IEEE Task Force on Memetic Computing. Prof. Ruhul Sarker
Tentative title: Adaptive Configuration of Evolutionary Algorithms for Optimization
Ruhul Sarker received his Ph.D. in 1991 from DalTech, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, and is currently an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of School (Research) in the School of Engineering and IT, University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. His main research interests are Evolutionary Optimization, and Applied Operations Research.He is the lead author of the book ‘Optimization
Modelling: A Practical Approach’ published by Taylor & Francis. He has published more than 220 refereed articles in the international journals, edited books, and conference proceedings. He edited /co-edited 8 books on specialized topics in computational Intelligence including one on ‘Evolutionary Optimization’. He is currently an associate editor of Memetic Computing Journal, and Flexible Service and Manufacturing Journal. A/Prof. Sarker was a technical co-chair for IEEE CEC’2003 and a Proceedings Co-chair for IEEE WCCI’2012. He is a member of IEEE CIS Task Force on Differential Evolution and Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization. He delivered invited and key-note speeches in a number of major conferences. Prof. Ajit K. Verma
Ajit K. Verma is currently a Professor in Engineering (Technical Safety), Stord/Haugesund University College, Haugesund, Norway and has been a Professor (since Feb 2001) with the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay (away on lien from IIT Bombay). He was the Director of the International Institute of Information Technology Pune, on lien from IIT Bombay, from Aug 2009 -Sep 2010. He is also a Guest Professor at Lulea University of Technology, Sweden. He is a B.Tech (Hons) in Electrical Engg and Phd (Engg) from IIT Kharagpur.
He has supervised/co-supervised 35 PhDs and 95 Masters thesis in the area of Software Reliability, Reliable Computing, Power Systems Reliability (PSR), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Probabilistic Safety/Risk Assessment (PSA) and use of Computational Intelligence in System Assurance Engineering and Management. He is the Chairman of the recently constituted Special Interest Group on System Assurance Engineering and Management of Berkeley Initiative in Soft Computing, Department of Electrical Engg and Computer Science, University of California, Berkeley.

He is an author of books titled ‘Fuzzy Reliability Engineering-Concepts and Applications’ (Narosa), Reliability and Safety Engineering (Springer) and Dependability of Networked Computer Based Systems (Springer) and ‘Optimal Maintenance of Large Engineering System’(published by Narosa)He has over 225 publications in various journals (over 100 papers) and conferences. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of OPSEARCH published by Springer (Jan 2008-Jan 2011) as well as the Founder Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Systems Assurance Engineering and Management (IJSAEM) published by Springer and the Editor -in-Chief of SRESA Newsletter and Journal of Life Cycle Reliability and Safety Engineering. He is also the Series Editor along with Prof. Roy Billinton and Prof. Rajesh Karki of Springer Book Series on’ Reliable & Sustainable Electric Power and Energy Systems Management’ and has jointly edited book also published by Springer titled ‘Reliability and Risk Evaluation of Wind Integrated Power Systems’. He has been a Guest Editor of a dozen issues of International Journals including IEEE Transactions on Reliability and has been the Editor of several Conference proceedings.
